It is kind of difficult to visualize the scope of the project with photos from various locations so I made these two short videos of a walking tour on November 9, 2013.
A 6 Minute Video Tour of Gray Owl Park
Here is a reminder of what it looked like before we started our project

The "Park" where we located the house was an old pasture that was overgrown with invasive plants and saplings when we started the project. |
Here is the video tour of the property as it was on November 9, 2013
Thanks, Joseph. Lovely site, outstanding house design. Await a future video when walls are up.
ReplyDeleteThe solar panels should put out 5kw when in full sun. All the power is sold to Randolph Electric. The house has a "critical loads panel" that powers the propane backup heat, air handlers, lights, water pump, refrigerator, and an outlet in each room. There is a bank of batteries that can run the house critical loads of about 24 hours and when the grid is off the solar panels will charge the batteries.
